Brandon Moore's Story

d44d6b63a6dd62c4336c660611be61d6.jpgHero Holsters was founded by Brandon Moore in June, 2013. Brandon retired from law enforcement as a burglary detective on 12/26/2012 due to injuries resulting from an on-the-job ambush. Unable to continue as a peace officer, but being strongly supportive of the right to keep and bear arms, Moore began making and selling hybrid holsters.

A Word from Brandon

Early in 2002, right after I graduated from the Ohio State Highway Patrol basic peace officer academy, I went to a uniform shop looking for an inside the waistband holster. Not only did they not carry anything at all for inside the waistband, the proprietor almost laughed at me when I suggested that I wanted to carry a Smith & Wesson 5903 inside my waistband. I was told that he did not have a holster like that, and a guy of my size (5′ 10″, 160lbs) could never carry a gun that big, in that manner.

Times have changed, haven’t they? The right to keep and bear arms is in the forefront of public discussion, and responsible gun owners are finally tired of hear the word “can’t”.

I’ve been seeing more and more people here in Ohio get their CCW permit. I love knowing that there are so many thousands of people in our fine country who are exercising their right to keep and bear arms. Anyone who carries a firearm to defend their own life or those of their loved ones is a Hero in my book.

Mission Statement

“To honor God with an honest business model, while equipping men and women to defend themselves from those who would do them harm.”
